Meet Bart
I am proud to be a lifelong Ogden resident. I was born and raised in Ogden, graduated from Ogden High and Weber State University. After graduating, I went to work for my family’s small business, Blair’s Service. It has grown so much since it was a simple garage. Through the business my father taught me the values of hard work and follow through. While my family goes back generations here in Ogden, it is a privilege to be part of a legacy with more than 60 years of experience servicing our friends and neighbors at Blair’s Service.
I have also had the privilege to raise my 3 girls here in Ogden and to see them succeed in Ogden City’s public schools. As I grew up here, I heard plenty about what people outside of Ogden say. And we have always been better than the reputation I hear from those not in our community.
I was always raised, like so many of you, that we must give back and serve as part of any successful life. That is one reason I decided to serve on the city council. I was recently elected to my 4th term on the city council. It has been a humbling experience to serve Ogden the last 13 years. It has been an honor to be part of the process to help Ogden grow and become an even better place to live. I also serve on the Ogden High Booster Board and Central Weber Sewer District Board. In the past, I have been blessed to serve on the Ogden Nature Center Board and the Ogden/Weber Convention & Visitors Bureau Board.
As a councilman we have really set Ogden on a path to achieve some great things for our residents. An Ogden for everyone is a goal within reach and I am determined to ensure everyone in our city benefits from all the hard work of the last 2 decades to get us here.
