Two entities that have an adversarial relationship with each other is a tale as old as the idea of government itself.

However, with Ben Nadolski taking on the position of Ogden mayor in 2024, Ogden City Council At Large Seat B Council member Bart Blair told the Standard-Examiner that he’s seen a huge improvement in the relationship between the City Council and the city administration.

Nearly a decade after a redesign contest went nowhere, Ogden's Lester Park is getting a makeover.

Pickleball courts, an updated playground, a sports field and an ice rink are all part of the revitalization plan. The city has secured $2.4 million for park improvements, including city funds and Weber County RAMP grants, though it will have to find additional funding to complete the project.

The first groundbreaking is planned for this fall, with more phases expected to follow.

Ogden is currently in the middle of a major overhaul of its policies regarding the Ogden-Hinckley Airport’s operation.

At the center of that has been the Ogden City Council which recently took the first of what will be several actions to overhaul airport operations policy.
